We really hope you enjoy your stay here. We’ve enclosed some information which may be useful to you.
FIRST A NOTE ABOUT COVID 19
If you have been before, or have seen the photos on the website, you will know that the house now looks bare. On the advice of Sykes Holidays we have “de cluttered” so that all surfaces can be better cleaned and disinfected and the risk of passing on the virus is reduced. We hope that for next year this “clutter” can be reintroduced as to us this is what gives the house its character.
The housekeeping service has also changed its cleaning regime. They will have left a note for you explaining their increased service. In summary;
The house will be ventilated during cleaning and a machine will be used upstairs and downstairs before and after each clean to disinfect the surfaces.
Housekeeping staff will wear new PPE for each clean. This will be disposed of when the clean is completed.
All surfaces and equipment in all rooms will be cleaned. Special attention will be given to disinfecting high touch areas including door handles, cupboard handles, banisters, window handles and ledges, furniture etc.
We have always been impressed with the standard of cleaning achieved by the service. They will now spend even more time at the house and we hope that this will give you confidence for your stay during theses strange times.
The housekeepers have also replaced the usual Welcome Pack with an Essentials Pack which includes disinfectant wipes, bin liners and loo rolls, hand gel, kitchen roll, j cloths and so on.
ENJOY YOUR STAY.

Our Housekeeping Service works hard to ensure Starfish Cottage is presented in a clean and tidy condition for each guest and this takes time. They ask that you leave the house in a similar condition to how you found it. Departure time is by 10am, this gives them enough time to clean and prepare the property by 4pm for the next guests.
Health and safety
The fire extinguisher and fire blanket are stored in the entrance way next to the kitchen.
There is a First Aid Kit in the ground floor loo.
